Luke Passmore

With nearly 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, Luke brings a rare combination of practical accounting expertise, forensic insight and senior‑level commercial understanding to Vale Finance Services Ltd. Originally from Northampton and qualifying as AAT in 2001, Luke began his career in accountancy, working with both smaller practices and a top‑ten firm. This early foundation gave him a strong technical grounding and a clear understanding of what business owners truly need from their accountant.

Luke went on to build a long and successful career in the asset‑based lending sector, specialising in field exams, audits and forensic reviews. Over the years he worked with businesses of every size — from small owner‑managed companies to multimillion‑turnover organisations — across industries including service, recruitment, manufacturing and wholesale. His expertise in fraud review, operational oversight and risk management gives clients a level of clarity and commercial awareness rarely found in traditional accounting practices.

Throughout his time in ABL, Luke continued to support a small number of long‑standing private clients. After achieving everything he set out to accomplish in that sector, he chose to return to his roots and expand his own practice. This move was a natural progression: bringing decades of real‑world financial experience back into a modern accounting environment where business owners benefit directly from his broad expertise.

Luke’s approach is shaped by straightforward values: integrity, openness and a commitment to doing things properly. He believes in clear communication, no jargon and building genuine partnerships with clients. His background in both accounting and forensic finance gives him a practical, real‑world perspective that helps businesses think clearly, make informed decisions and move forward with confidence.

Outside of work, Luke enjoys hiking and clay pigeon shooting, and has a coaching background in both rugby and shooting. He finds genuine satisfaction in helping others progress — whether in sport or in business — and this commitment to supporting people is central to how he works with clients. As a father of two grown‑up children, he brings the same honesty, fairness and straight‑talking approach to his practice that he values in his personal life.

Today, Luke is focused on building a team based on skill and integrity, where background means nothing and character means everything. His goal is to create a modern, reliable, relationship‑driven accounting firm that clients describe as the ideal finance partner — clear, dependable and committed to helping businesses succeed.
